Amy is an award-winning Youth Programme designer, with a specialism in inclusive design and outreach.
Her work in charge of youth programmes globally for the Scouts have driven up engagement and achievement for under-served young people around the world. She led the design for the Beavers and Cubs Money Skills Activity Badge by designing it with and for people with dyscalculia and, launching in 2021, it is to date their most successful new badge with 80,000+ young people completing it in the first year.
An advocate and ally for equity and diversity for grassroots social change projects, she transformed the grants giving process for the Royal Society of the Arts and increased applications from women and global Fellows by 200%.
Amy has an MA in Psychodynamic and Systemic Approaches to Consulting Organisations from the Tavistock, providing a deep understanding of the personal barriers to organisational change. Her qualification in DEI Strategies for Business Impact from Cambridge University Business School helps organisations harness hard data alongside qualitative research to improve inclusive practices for all.
Now living with long covid, Amy works as an inclusion consultant. As someone who is now a direct beneficiary of the very practices she used to champion for others, she speaks on the value of practical mental health practices, and the importance of data-driven change, in both personal and professional contexts.
Her early career was in comedy and theatre, so understands the importance of a well-timed joke in tough conversations.
