On World Mental Health Day, the Speakers Collective were pleased to see the release of the World Health Organization’s Mosaic Toolkit to End Stigma and Discrimination in Mental Health.
The Mosaic Toolkit to End Stigma and Discrimination in Mental Health provides a clear and actionable roadmap to achieve this.
The toolkit is built on three core, evidence-based principles; Leadership or Co-Leadership by People with Lived Experience, Social Contact & Inclusive Partnerships.
The Mosaic Toolkit outlines a four-step process for implementing these principles: Identify & Define Aims, Plan & Prepare, Launch & Learn and Reflect & Proceed.
The toolkit features twelve case studies from around the world, showing that stigma can be addressed in diverse contexts and communities.
By using the principles and steps in the Mosaic Toolkit, we can each play a part in creating a world free from stigma, where everyone feels valued and supported.
